I was in a grocery store yesterday and was offered a free copy of one of the 2 major local papers. Subscribership is down and I fear that soon newspapers will disappear from most major metropolitan areas. Like the majority of people, I get most of my news from television and the internet.
I'm pretty sure that you can't watch TV on you internet for free but you can watch free movies without downloading them just go to http://joox.net/ , just copy and paste and watch. I do know you can buy software to install on you PC so you could watch TV over your PC
Hello, Has anyone tried the Satellite Tv on your PC. They say its a one time fee of $49.00 for 3000 stations no fees ever again. Just download their software. Is this to good to be true? Also can you hook up your PC to your TV. I have a new Plasma TV so I think it would have the connections there but not sure how this all works. I am trying to cut costs in my house hold and it would be nice to have no cable bill. Thanks Everyone.
I use it everyday on my pc to catch with with the news and some sports. Frankly, I haven't tried fixing to the tv but I think it's more suitable for the pc or laptop.
The advantage of this satellite tv for pc is the flexibility and convenience, like you can watch anywhere - in the office, in your study or even in the garden. But if you have a nice big plasma tv, I think I'll stick to cable or satellite tv.
What is the picture quality like? Is it like watching satalite TV? Do you need anything else besides their $50.00 program. Any comments!
I don't pay to watch television on-line, but I have watched The Young and the Restless on CBS.com. It's great, because I work during the day. Watching it on-line also saves time, not as many commercials to sit through.
It does take about a minute for it load, but no big deal; I use that time to floss my teeth.
I don't know anything about signing up for a t.v. on-line service though.
I want to connect my video card of my computer to my television set so that i can have the experience of watching it on a bigger screen. What resolution does a normal video card support? If i can, can i connect it to a 29 inch television?
If you've got an S-Video jack on your card and your TV will support that connection to it, it can be done. Also if your card has the general Video/Audio outputs and your TV can support that input, that could work too. The most current option is to have a HDMI jack on both your video card and your TV - this supports the High Definition format, specifically for TV programs, but I believe it could be used with a computer connection as well. Other TVs support a direct Analog or DVI connection to act as your monitor for your computer. It really depends upon what your TV can support and what your video card has. As far as resolution goes, you will not find a limitation as to what a TV can display with only two factors to consider: If you have a HDTV TV, then you could play HD movies from your computer and enjoy the full effect. The other factor is that you are only limited by your video card as to what resolution you can display on your TV.

Usually then don't have any of the real cable network channels mostly foreign free channel in french, Arabic, Chinese and all sort of shit that you don't want to see and the only English station is a free air documentary channel
i have just re-installed my dish an box. after lining up my dish to the astra satellite, i did a scan and found all my normal channels. problem is that all channels say 'service unavailable' evan though signal strengh and quallity are better than before the move.
I don't know why it happens but if you unplug it then plug it back in it normally fixes it 
And do I need a TV set specifically located in my bedroom? Right now, the only TV with cable is downstairs. My bedroom TV only has basic cable (4 channels,) and I’d like to hook up my computer with cable TV from downstairs. How do I do this?

I get 2 out of 5 every time for signal strength.
Anybody with any help would gladly appreciate it
If you are getting a signal strength, that means you are connecting through the wireless port. Turn that off, and then see what you get. You might have to turn on the lan port on the laptop to get the speeds you should be getting.
When I go to a web site I either have to pay or download a program to beable to watch tv shows on line. I do not want to have to do either.
