what is the best software to watch good cable tv channels on pc(windows vista)?

There are many programs available. They all give you free trials. It is cheaper to buy a tv on pc that buying a tv tuner card. Cable charges are saved and you get about 4000 channels from all over the world. If you have laptop then the tv is with you always and you never miss any program. The channel numbers are increasing daily. The bandwidth usage for streaming is also coming down. if you need to know more yo may email me at mathews_tw@yahoo.com

How can you watch cable from your computer.?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 7:59 am

My computer doenst have a plug to plug cable in. What do I need to make my computer hook up to cable tv? Do I need to install any new drivers and what do you think the total cost would be to do this?

If you're not subscribed to cable TV,
you can buy a satellite dish and a DVB-S card (like SkyStar2 from www.technisat.com ) and watch satellite TV for free
instead of paying monthly for cable.
Check out http://www.lyngsat.com for the channels you can watch on each satellite.

How do I connect my TV to computer to display TV on computer, and take screenshots of TV display?

Filed under: tv on my computer — admin @ 7:58 am

I want to connect my TV to my computer so I can view the TV on the computer, and take screenshots of the TV display. What do I need to do this, and how?
If I have a laptop, can I use that? It can't be opened. IE, no free PCI slots.

If your laptop has a parallel port, you can get a Snappy.

Does any one know anything about international satellite tv? I would like to get digiturk, but found nothing.

Filed under: satellite tv systems — admin @ 7:58 am

I've searched online and have found what satellite digiturk comes across on, but don't know how to get access to a satellite system that allows me to watch this turkish network. Please help

It looks like you can get Digiturk most anywhere in Europe except for parts of Scandinavia although dish size required will vary depending where you are.

http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/ew3a_eurb.html (Most DigiTurk channels on this one)

http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/turk2a_west.html (Most FTA Turkish channels here, one DigiTurk encrypted transponder)

If you're outside of this area, i.e. North America, you're out of luck.

DigiTurk is a satellite service which is encrypted. They use Cryptworks Irdeto 2. I'm not sure if they'd be willing to activate your box with a CAM or if it would even work, but you may have to get your box directly from them in Turkey, and perhaps have a Turkish address for them to bill although you could pay with your credit card.

Otherwise, there are free individual channels you can get with just any old FTA receiver and Ku band dish. A couple are even available in North America like TRT international, Samanyolu TV Amerika, and Nur TV. Here's a list of them:
http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/Turkey.html
Most are on satellites only visible in Europe except the 3 I mentioned for North America on Galaxy 25. A couple will work for Australia as well. Let me know if you need any additional help.

What cable to use to view movies from laptop to TV?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 7:58 am

What cable do you need to connect your laptop to your TV , in order to view movies?

well that depends alot on the T.V. some LCDs have a VGA or S-video but those don’t carry sound. If you laptop has a HDMI port then that is what you want to use since it carries sound as well as video. There are adapters you can buy also but without knowing what ports your laptop and TV have it is hard to say.
