Are the companies that offer software(for a fee) to watch tv on my pc a good choice, or are they "too good to be true'?
I want to watch live tv like "American Idol" or "Oprah" on my computer instead of paying the ridiculous prices for cable or satellite. Are these offers of "thousands of channels" valid?
None of the websites will actually tell what their channel line-up is, which concerns me.
Please let me know if you have tried this, and what you thought of the service they offer.
These services are scams. All they do is offer you access to free stuff that anyone can access. They don't give you cable channels or anything like that. If you want to watch live TV on your PC, you need a tuner card and probably a set of rabbit ears to pull in the signal. You will only be able to watch shows on channels that you receive over the airwaves. This is the only way to watch live TV on your PC unless the channel offers a live stream, which most don't. You can watch TV later on sites like hulu.com, abc.com etc. But the only way to get cable channels is to pay for them.

thats right, internet,tv,books/magazines,music,and PHONES!!!??
antone here……..
Find someone and actually have a conversation in person.
I prefer to download then burn the episodes to disc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx.
This is not legal and would be against yahoo rules if anyone were to tell you where to find them.
What I can tell you though is that there are several places where you can stream movies and episodes, and if you do some searching online you can find out how to save these streams to your hard drive.
I would like to know what I would need to setup on the home computer to stream a tv channel (e.g. FSN Bay Area) over the internet to be viewed on a remote computer. What connections would I need, software installation, wires, etc. Thanks for your help.

i used enjoylimit.com as a website for watching korean dramas, movies, and variety programs. but now that website has been turned to used for downloading or something but i cant do that. are there any other websites that are like this website where it shows new dramas or variety programs that come out on the day????
imkorean.com or enjoylimit.com are examples
mysoju.com is the best!
It has a wide variety of korean dramas including japanese, taiwanese, and chinese dramas!
viikii.net is also good, but is sort of sluggish when top shows come out with a new episode and everyone is trying to watch at the same time.
good places for downloading:
soompi.com/forums
silentregrets.com (movies and such too!)
I'm in 7th grade and I'm trying to pick between the computer or the television for a research report.which one do you think I can get more information on and would make for a better report?
thanks!
The computer is better since there is a lot more information that you can find through a good search engine and in addition it is easier to find the information./
When I connect my USB cable to my computer, iTunes automatically comes up but no icon shows when i go to "my computer" for iPod Touch. Is this normal?
it doesnt come up in "my computer" or at least mine doesnt but you it only comes up in itunes
Why do you choose this medium?
Hiya!
I access Heat's web pages because they are free. It's a not a great substitute for the actual magazine but it leads on to stories in the past so that's quite good because you get to snoop more. It's more for escapism than anything, I'm not obsessed with celebs or anything. I can go months without thinking about it. Course, with the whole credit crunch thing, a couple of quid a week on a magazine seems quite expensive now!
Good luck with your studies
I have a Dell Studio 15 laptop and comcast cable services. Is there a way to watch cable tv on my laptop with having to hook any wires into it? And what kind of tuner card and everything would I need to do this?
If you have our internet and a wireless gateway / router you can watch a lot of free content from the comcast.net home page, full screen and most in HD.
Well, you can do that if you only have Comcast High Speed internet…
but this is the solution for your situation.

As far as TV, "live" tv that is, the slingbox mentioned is the only option that I know of. But, I think they are a bit costly.
thanks in advance.
