What kind of cable and computer program do I need to record from a digital piano?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 2:56 am

I have a Suzuki digital piano and want to be able to record myself using the computer. What kind of cable/connector cord would I need to plug the piano into the computer? And what kind of program/software would I use on the computer to record?

This article talks you through the process of converting midi from a digital piano to mp3 or wave files to make a CD recording:

It includes which cable to buy and which software to use.

My friend gave me a video on a flash drive, how do I get the audio to my TV?

Filed under: tv on my computer — admin @ 2:56 am

I use the S-Video to hook up to my LCD TV, the audio goes through my computer, how do I get it go through the TV?

You will need a seperate cord to get the audio to the television. Most computers don’t have an RCA output to get to the back of the tv so you will need an adapter to go from a headphone jack to an RCA cable. Or you can buy addon soundcards that may have an RCA output on it.

What is the thing called that makes what you play on your laptop on you tv screen?

S-video cable, or VGA.

S-video is more for like movies and tv and stuff,
and VGA is better for actually having to read text from the TV and using it as a real monitor.

I want a dependable software that will allow me to broadcast both internet radio and TV 24/7. I would like to be able to embed both media in a web page and allows people to connect to the Internet radio via iTunes, Winamp and Windows Media Player.

Is there a way to connect ethernet cable to computer without having to restart computer?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 2:42 am

I play ps3 online. To do this i need to take out the ethernet from the back of my computer and plug it into my ps3. When i want to reconnect ethernet cable to my computer, i always have to restart my computer and modem for the internet to work again. This is a lot of hassle because my computer takes long to start up.

Is there a way I can connect my ethernet cable to my computer when its already on, and still manage to use the internet?

Yes, it should work just fine to plug the ethernet cable in "hot."

Try each of the following (I’m guessing that only one or the other is needed):

1. Try restarting just the modem. If it can only handle one device at a time, then restarting it will make sure that it will be ready to let your computer on.

2. Try repairing your ethernet connection. (right-click the icon with two computers, and select repair.) This process would work if your computer isn’t noticing that the connection has come up, or if it’s still trying to use an old address — it basically does the same for the network as rebooting the computer, but without reseting everything else in the computer.

After either of those, you should have internet connectivity. You could get a router to go between your modem and your computer / PS3 — this would let you use both at once.

Is there anyway to watch satellite TV on my mac using only free software? theres gotta be a way?

Or certain movie channels like Stars, AMC, or others like that work great as well.

The whole sat TV on a PC is a scam period. The ONLY way to get satellite TV on a pc is to connect it to a sat receiver. These sites prey on the unknowing public and deliver for a fee what is already free on the internet. All of the major TV networks around the world have streaming video, movies, news, series, etc on their websites. This is what these pay sites offer which is available for free to begin with. Do as I do. Create a folder in favorites called TV, movies, media, whatever you want. Start picking the sites out you want to keep. You’ll end up with a ton of them in no time.

Free Internet TV? American Channels (Pacific)?

Filed under: internet tv channels — admin @ 2:42 am

I really don’t care how many applications or online sites I have to use as long as its LIVE TV. I don’t want STC, SideReel, etc… And don’t suggest Miro.

Anyway, it should support these channels and they should all be Pacific (if possible):

Fox
TBS
USA
Spike
ABC Family
Comedy Central
A&E Network
Lifetime
TNT
AXN

HBO
AMC
MGM
PIX
WB

ESPN

Nickelodian
Cartoon Network
Disney Channel
Toon Disney
Jetix
Animax
Pogo
Boomerang

MTV
VH1

CNN
HLN
CNBC
Fox News
MSNBC
The Weather Channel

Animal Planet
Discovery Channel
History Channel
National Geographic
The Learning Channel

And any other Entertainment, Movie, Kids, Learning, Sports and News Channels along the lines of these channels.

I would like there to be one application that has all these channels and FREE, but I wouldn’t mind using several applications/online sites. So if you know of something that supports some of these, than that’s OK, tell me bout it.
The reasons there are spaces is because their all different categories.

In this order:
General Entertainment
Movies
Sports
Kids
Music
News
Infotainment
I’d also like to the Discovery Travel and Living and V Channel
I also forgot to mention Star Movies, Star Entertainment and Zee Cafe
Can’t really ask for a question and not try to figure out the answer myself. I suppose free would be hard, so I’m also willing to accept lifetime subscriptions. With that said I have found Satellite TV Master, iSoftware TV, Satellite TV on PC, TVonPC Elite, DishTV for PC and PC Satellite TV Titanium. I’m researching them and asking questions from the support staff.

My question now is any other suggestions for some internet satellite tv Providers with LifeTime Subscriptions or is "free" still a possibility.

Best bet is to get satellite software on your pc as you can see all of these and many more: Just google Satellite tv for your pc and you will come up with many options:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=RL&q=satellite+tv+on+pc+reviews&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g1

Some are free with a one time set up fee and others aren’t.Just browse through to find out which one has what you are looking for.

How can I turn my Vizio television into a computer monitor?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 3:58 am

I just got a Vizio television at Sam’s Club. It’s a huge tv- 55 inches!

I want to make it into a computer monitor, especially for when I have friends over.

Could you please tell me what I need to do so? I have a laptop which i would prefer to use, but also a computer that is across the house from the tv.

I need to know what I need, what to do with it, and where to get it.

Thanks so much! All help is appreciated!

There are many ways to do this, depending on the inputs and outputs on your devices. If your laptop has an HDMI output (long and rectangular, often gold-plated), use that, as all HDTVs have that, if not, your laptop will likely have a VGA output (Trapezoid shaped). Cables for these are usually quite expensive. The resolution should be fine, I have a 110 inch screen and it looks fine.
