How to set up Free to Air Satellite TV channel from Australia; Melbourne

We are not for profit organization with no money. But we need to setup our Free to Air satellite tv channel from Australia; Melbourne on the satellite Optus D2 or any other satellite has Australia in its blueprint.

We have no problem with TV contents, because we can download it from our friends TV station for free using FTP over the internet.

What we have to do
1-Download the TV contents
2-Edit and add Voice Over in English
3-Broadcast again.

What we like to get
•Accept Advertising and show it on our TV
•Be able to schedule the ads
•Accept SMS messages and show it as scrolling text on the screen

What we have
Fast PC
Internet Broadband
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Sound Booth
Adobe After-effects
Adobe Photo shop

HD consumer camcorder
Mic and Tripod

We need information about
The minimum cost for the software and hardware to accept SMS, phone call and TV Ads
Send the contents to Uplinke Company. How to send it is it by Broadband?
Government License cost (Australia)
Uplink cost and equipment
Any other requirement we have to comply with it.
Uplink companies’ website

Please answer us with details including names and website

Thank you,
Thank you for your answer.
But what is the obtain rights to programming?
some of the material which is we are going to use already broadcast in Australia on OptusD2 satellite.
Could you please tell me which guide line I have to comply with for the Australian Market.

I am looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

You need to obtain rights to programming. It is not as simple as downloading them from someplace.

Becasuse you want to run advertising, you may need to run it as a commercial concern.

SMS and ads are likely pretty cheap, compared to the costs to deal with regulators, and obtaining uplink time and resources.

All-in-all, you need to hire a consultant to find out all you need to do to get a signal out of your facility and up on satellite, licenses and such, the basic studio equipment to run your sort of station. hire the right personnel, and obtain rights to "broadcast" the programming you intend to.

how can i get my computer to display on my tv using a dvi to RGB cable?

Filed under: tv on my computer — admin @ 4:47 am

bear in mind that im a complete novice when it comes to AV stuff. with that said, I recently purchased a third party dvi-i to RGB cable thats obviously been spliced from two different cables. After connecting it and running my computers video cards display wizard, ive gotten the display on my tv to kind of work. the screen is red and shaky, though i can slightly make out my desktop through all the static. what can i do to make the picture completely clear? do i need a converter or something?

You need Total Video Converter,my friend .
it is a rock video converter it could convert video to popular video such as mpeg-4, h.264, mp4, avi, 3gp, flv, m4v, mkv, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, wmv, Xivd, Divx and the output video is very excellent and no loss-less quality.
I hope you will have a try.Total Video Converter can convert all video in high speed and no quality loss, high compatibility, easy operation, very beautiful interface and so on. It has relative high system requirements. Wonderful convert software with reasonable price. Don’t be hesitate, try it first!

Which foreign TV channels stream live over internet with English subtitles?

Filed under: internet tv channels — admin @ 4:46 am

I am looking for particularly European (German, French, Italian, Spanish etc.) TV channels that stream online live with English subtitles. This was possible through teletext subtitles back in the day. Is there a comparable service online?

its very easy, you can watch all German, French, Italian, Spanish TV channels that stream online live with English subtitles and all your favorite channels of anywhere in the words. I searched lots of sites after that I got how to get such channels online. I know a site where you can watch more than 3500 channels. You can always rely on the website for all your channel needs. I have been using this site since quite a while and I think that it is the only which provides such nice quality streams.

Do kids spend more time on the Internet or watching TV?

Filed under: tv on internet — admin @ 4:46 am

Do kids spend more time on the Internet or watching TV? What do you think? Any statistical facts?

If allowed to they will definitely spend more time on the internet. It is up to the parents to be more vigilant, and say … "Okay you may own the computer, laptop, mobile phone etc. but I pay for the internet, power utilities, phone bills, etc. so I say when and how much time you are allowed to use it." Fortunately my son is not into those social networking sites (nor I). He rarely watches any television unless it is certain programs he is interested in. He mostly enjoys watching those YouTube videos, many of which are great comedy; I also find some ejoyment with those. Personally I hope Facebook dies soon; I think it causes more social problems than it helps. I see the benefits of social networking, a great tool, but like so many other things today, the facility is open to abuse and probably needs a lot more censorship and monitoring.

I was wondering can I browse the internet on the Wii console?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 7:19 am

I have purchased the Wii LAN adapter to view the internet on my television through my Wii. I am trying to find out can I view web pages such as youtube or other video web sites….

What those last people say is false!!! Just open up wii shop channel, then click on channels, then download it directly from the wii shop channel FREE.It will be called the "Internet Channel". Anyone who pays for that has been swindled! And yes you can view youtube videos, but they may look like they are in a lower quality being on a tv. There is hardly anything you can’t do on your wii’s internet that you can’t do on your computer. It seems stupid to pay $5.00 for something you can download for free!

Telephones, Television, Computer–what’s the best service to go with for all?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 7:19 am

This is ‘3-way complicated,’ as I’m sure it is for everyone. You’ve got: 1. Your Telephone
2. Your TV Service
3. You Computer Service

With TELEPHONES: you’ve got the option of:
1. Landline
2. Cell phone
3. Both.
4. Magicjack for $19.95/year. My sister gave me hers because she
never used it. Magicjack works when it works, but darned if I can figure out how to KEEP it
working. It keeps getting messed up.

So right now we have the above three phone services.
–I have a Virgin Cell Phone, which only costs me $10-$15/month at this time (pay per minute). the Virgin phone at $10-$15/month is STILL less expensive than having a $30-$40 contract with Cingular or Verizon Cell phone or whomever. I need it for work, plus emergencies, but I usually use my land line whenever I can.
–I have a Landline, with unlimited calling, which is a real joy because you don’t have to count the minutes you talk AS you talk (no weekend/weekday restrictions, no worrying ‘free minute time"–if it’s 9 pm on the west coast, then it’s midnight on the east coast, etc… That is, unless the person you’re calling has a cell phone, then you have to worry about their end of things). But the vast majority of my phone calls are out of state, given that I live on the PA side of the PA/NJ line and work in NJ–plus my family is in TX, CA, NY, Indiana AND PA. It’s not like the old days when your job, your friends and your family were mostly local).

WITH TELEVISION:
There’s the option of 1. Cable, which we have at the moment.
2. Satellite.

Then there’s: THE COMPUTER. Which we can choose to connect either to
1. Our phone service. DSL, I think. OR
2. Our TV service: Comcast.

Then there’s something called FIOS–fiber-optic something–which they keep saying will be available to us in our area soon but they’ve been saying that for a long time and FIOS still isn’t
here.

We chose to connect our computer to our Verizon service because a few years ago, when we moved to New Hope PA and signed up, DSL was only $20 per month while Computer-through-Comcast was $40.00/month.

But what’s the best way to go now? Should we just keep paying the bills to Comcast for TV, Verizon for landline and computer, Virgin for cell phone by-the-minute, and wait for FIOS to come along?

What are the rest of you out there doing? Is FIOS worth waiting for? My husband keeps talking about getting satellite TV, maybe because FIOS hasn’t shown up in our area yet…

Whatever. Any information to help us think this through would be greatly appreciated.

Satellite TV:
Dish Network - http://www.sathookup.com/dish-network.php
Directv - http://www.sathookup.com/directv.php

Internet/Phone:
Verizon DSL/Fios - http://www.FiosFinder.com

I recommend satellite tv and DSL/land line phone unless you need super speeds. I’m not sure if a VOIP phone (Vonage) will work over DSL - but let us know.

Good luck!
