Watch Satellite TV On Your PC

I have looked EVERYWHERE on the phone..!?!? There is just a blue box that you can move around that says TV at the top and below it 4 smaller icons that are marked TV, Foxtel, Movies and Live Events each with a little picture. When you click on the box it opens up to a web page…

I also own a Samsung Preston and had the same problem…

1.Look on the left side of the screen and you should see a black tab with a white sort of arrow on it, touch it, then the tab should open, this tab is called your "Widgets". Widgets are the little tabs or "shortcuts" that are stored in that one tab. You can access them by touching the black arrow tab and scrolling down to find your preferred widget. If you want the widget to be on your wallpaper, then touch and hold the widget, then drag it onto your wallpaper then touch the black arrow tab again to close the tab.

2. Touch and hold the TV box, then drag it onto (on the top) of the Widgets tab, then it should pop back into the widgets tab and you should then see the little thumbnail there in the tab.

Reminder- Sometimes when you drag the Widget onto the tab, it might just go behind it, if so, then just drag it away then drag it onto the tab again…

i recently installed windows 7 on my desktop, And i have the resolution set to 1280×720, and when it boots up it looks like my desktop is too big for my TV screen, im using a VGA connector by the way, and if i turn the tv off it goes back to normal but little lines can be seen in the background, but if i turn the source to something else and turn it back to VGA, then my TV says its working at 720p, and it is stretched out again, ive tried different Resolution on my DESKTOP, but all of them arnt supported besides the 1280×720, any ideas on a fix?

right click computer icon
select properties
look at the right side and select device manager
click yes if asked
go down to graphics adaptor
use the > to reveal right click and select update . ,,,,allow internet search
this will update your graphics drivers .
lcd TV screen is most likely to be 16:9 ratio as in wide screen
32" model
which if hd ready will be 1360 x 768 or full hd which is 1920 x 1080

I have windows 7 on my laptop and I just found out that you an watch tv on it if you buy a tv tuner thing and plug it into an aerial. I thought this would be pretty great as I’m going to uni in a couple of days and not taking my tv. But then my brother told me that you still need tv licence, is this true?

Wheter its a laptop, phone,tv or any other device that receives broadcast for tv, you must have a tv licence, it is the law, but not many people who have phones/laptops have one.

Does anyone have A satellite tv for pc software to recommend? I am interested in getting one of these packages so I can consider getting rid of my monthly cable bill and I have heard some are reasonably priced. Thanks

I am looking to watch all the regular channels online in good high def. Not the free stuff like justin tv. Thats bad quality and never a guarantee. Im hearing mixed reviews on this. Also, anyone have any suggestions to watch tv online from home in all HD?

ok, there are alot of movies out there on the computer that you can watch for free. I was wondering if there is any cable out there that you can attach from the computer to the tv, so I can watch movies from the computer on the TV, so I can have a bigger screen. What I want to know is what is the cable I have to buy?

Oh and I don have a HD TV or any type of flat screen tv’s, if that helps any. Please Help! 10 points!

What you have is an SDTV. So you should be looking for either composite or s-video inputs (composite is the yellow lead). S-video will give you better image quality though, if that’s available on the TV.

If your computer has a video card with composite or s-video, then just go cable to cable. So composite to composite or s-video to s-video. You can grab those cables at any TV or big box store. They are pretty standard affair.

If your computer video card only has VGA out (usually colored blue), then you need an adaptor. Grab a VGA to Video adaptor (typically it goes VGA to composite/s-video, then you can chose either cable). So then just use the cable that works for your TV.

All of that only covers video though. To do the audio you need another cable. Your TV should have RCA audio inputs associated with any composite or s-video leads. They are colored white and red. So for the audio from the computer to TV you want a Stereo Mini to RCA cable (3.5mm to RCA). A lot of places carry this, but if scarce, try online at like Amazon.
