HDMI DVI cable computer connection + problem?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 7:11 am

I hooked up a male to male DVI HDMI cable form my video card to my tv screen (Sharp 32" LCD) this is my computer monitor. Unfortuantely I have a problem. The screen is adjusted slightly too big and I can barely see the START button. I have been tryin to adjust the size from my display properties and I have has NO LUCK. Is there anyway I can make it smaller? I cant find a selection on my computer nor my tv that lets me adjust the size of the image on my computer. The color is phenomal though.

Take a look at a utility called PowerStrip from here: http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm

It’s designed for working with custom resolutions and refresh rates. You can also find more information about hooking up TVs to computers at AVSforum.com

  1. Go to your display properties, click advanced go to the adapter tab.. list all modes.. then see if you can find one which works..(match your tv’s max resolution and you will be fine)

  3. If your computer is not working properly when it is switched on, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yd34oj
