You would need a tuner card in your computer to watch cable TV. Here is a link to NEWEGG.com for some typical tuner cards:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380047+1148510222&name=Yes
Once you have the card installed, just screw in the coax cable into the back of the card. This will give you the basic channels. If you want to hook up a comcast digital box, then you would need to use the s-video or composite video output (yellow) and the audio out (red and white) to your tuner card and sound card. This is a bit more complex hookup.
Good luck!
You would at least need to have a TV card in your computer and another cable plugged into that. If it's digital cable, you would most likely need to have a set top box (converter) and then depending on the TV card you purchase, an IR blaster to allow you to change the channels using your computer instead of the remote for the set top box. Hope that helps!

a) in my office- I have a cable outlet that is currently going into my computer for CABLE INTERNET. >Define "in my office" is that your employers place of business or in your home office?
b) How do I get Cable Tv on my COMPUTER? Call a cable broadband company — but for my money I'd go with your local telephone company that offers DSL simply because — if its your home office and you move then it will simpler to take care of it. Your employers work? Get permission but probably will get turned down because its on private commercial property unless you OWN the property.
I need the Idiots Guide to doing this since I am not a tech wiz. >Uhm, your not an idiot everyone has tech geek issues its normal. And there are plenty of IDIOTS GUIDE books freeflowing in Barnes + Noble. Be you.
