I get Poor signal strength from router on computer even though connected through Ethernet cable?
I get 2 out of 5 every time for signal strength.
Anybody with any help would gladly appreciate it
If you are getting a signal strength, that means you are connecting through the wireless port. Turn that off, and then see what you get. You might have to turn on the lan port on the laptop to get the speeds you should be getting.

Signal strength has nothing to do with wired Ethernet. It is used with wireless only.
