Is there a site on the web or downloadable program to watch cable on computer?
I have found some programs that let you watch non cable tv but none that lets you watch cable
I have heard of some TV stations starting to show their episodes on the internet for free…probably what you’ve already heard of. There are also sites where you can download torrent files for a lot of TV episodes.
Or if you already have cable for your home, you can get a TV tuner card for your computer that will let you plug the cable into your computer and watch it that way…and record to your hard drive.

No, you’re going to need a special hardware component, like EyeTV. There are half a dozen different companies that make them; search around and I’m sure you could find one for a decent price (<$50).
