How do I get cable TV through my PC? ?
And do I need a TV set specifically located in my bedroom? Right now, the only TV with cable is downstairs. My bedroom TV only has basic cable (4 channels,) and I’d like to hook up my computer with cable TV from downstairs. How do I do this?

You will need to install a tv tuner card.

You need a TV Tuner card, but you’ll also need to split the cable connection downstairs and send the other signal up into your room. You hook that wire into the TV tuner card, which you will have installed into your PC. It might actually be better to get a TV in your room and hook the wire to that directly.
