how do I get my videos from my dvc tape to my computer a cable?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 7:52 am

Im using my video camera that uses dvc tapes. I want to put my video on my computer but can’t find the cable to connect my camera to my computer. What should I do?

You’ll need more than just a cable. Do you want the best quality for editing and DVD authoring or just YouTube? If it’s YouTube search for a USB capture device. You’ll then be able to import your videos. If you want high quality - it’s a lot more complicated.

I salvaged my 40GB harddrive from my old computer, can i hook a usb cable up to it to use it on others?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 2:54 pm

It is a 40GB harddrive and i salvaged the processor chip, RAM chip (i think), and a >>>usb cable tht was plugged into something<<< on the inside of my computer…

First of all, I don’t think it was a USB cable that you salvaged from the "inside" of your old computer. There are no USB ports inside computers that I know of.

As far as the "processor chip" goes …. throw it away, it’s nothing worth keeping.

The RAM (memory) chip may or may not be compatible with your new computer. To find out click here and run the system wizard check : http://www.crucial.com/

The old 40GB hard drive can be installed inside your new computer, if you have an open bay, and used for added storage space if you’d like.

Or you can go to the web site below and buy a "hard drive box" which will allow you to use the old hard drive as an external hard drive.

How can I get this cable to work on my e-machine t5026 computer)? (VGA/HD15/RGB) (best answer guaranteed)?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 12:57 am

I got this cable off ebay thinking it will work on my e-machine t5026 computer…I have a basic tv (Funai F20LCTE)

Your tv has rgb input jacks. The cable you bought should have an AVG connector at one end, which hooks up to the AVG output on the back of your computer, and the other end has 3 jacks, red, green and blue. Find the 3 rgb jacks on the back of the tv, and hook up red to r, green to g, and blue to b. Then adjust the input on the tv to rgb, or component, not sure which your tv calls it, and you should be good to go.

How do you convert a phone line internet accessible computer to cable internet accessible?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 4:53 am

I have two computers before me….The one that I would like to use has a port for phone line connection to the internet on the back of the computer. My older computer (the one I’m trying to get rid of) has a wireless cable port setup on the back of the computer.I’ve been using cable networking to access the computer. How do I get my new computer to accept cable and not phone? Thank you!

You will have to get a wireless cable port for the new computer also if you want to keep the computer wireless. Otherwise, if the router supplied by your cable company for internet hook up has either a USB or Ethernet connector, you can "hardwire" the router to your new computer.

Can i use my ipod cable from the computer?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 1:33 am

My new blackberry has on of those little square chargers that you use the same cable to connect to the computer as the charger. But is it possible to connect my ipod touch computer cable connector to my blackberry charger since it can fit. Will this not charge my ipod or mess up my phone charger?

Yes, you can do that. No, it will not mess up the charger. I have Droid with the usb cable charger, and I charge my ipod touch using the phones charger.

RCA cable computer speaker audio help?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 6:02 am

I have my computer set up to my tv screen so i have RCA cables connected to the speakers the thing is theres only one slot in the speaker to connect the RCA cable to so i can only hear out of one speaker at a time out of my tv any help? on what type of speakers i should buy so i can plug the red/white RCA cable things into the speakers so i can hear out of both tv speakers

If your TV has two speakers, it will have two RCA inputs for the input which connects to the computer. You need an adapter to convert 3.5mm stereo to two RCAs.

If your TV has only one RCA input (is a mono TV), you can use an RCA Y cable, which has one RCA male, and two RCA female, to combine the left and right audio to mono.

If your TV is Mono, or for some reason odd, and you want stereo (or better), get a small stereo system.

download photos from my Sony Hanycam to my computer. Where does the USB cable go on the camera?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 3:58 pm

I am trying to download photos from my Sony Hanycam to my computer. Is there a USB cable that hook into the camera and then the computer? Or can I take the mini DVD and copy them to my computer???

With DVD based camcorders, download and install HandBrake
http://handbrake.fr/
or other similar DVD ripper.

Finalize the disc in the camcorder - if required, read the camcorder manual. Take the disc out of the camcorder and put it in the DRAWER loading DVD drive in your computer. NEVER put a small or odd shaped disc in a slot loader.

Launch the DVD ripper. Rip the video to a not so compressed format that your video editor can deal with. When the ripping is complete, quit the Ripper application, launch the video editor and drag the ripped video to the log&capture or clips or collections or timeline areas of the video editor.

does anyone know how to get internet on the phone from computer via bluetooth or usb cable?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 10:03 pm

i heard that there is a way that we can get internet from computer via bluetooth. if u know it please help me.

If your phone and computer both support Bluetooth DUN or maybe PAN profile, and your phone supports Internet connection, and your cell carrier has enabled it, then yes.
I had a Nokia N810 tablet and a Nokia 6820 phone; the tablet sees the phone as a possible network connection and it just worked. After I had set the phone up itself so that internet worked (years ago when it was new).
I believe this is now called "’tethering".

How much money could you save from turning off Cable and Computer?

Filed under: cable on computer — admin @ 3:32 am

Well my Dad always leaves his computer (power watts idk)on and never turns it off including the 19 inch LCD monitor. Also we always leave the comcast cable box on( meaning it shows a channel number on). About how much money could we save if we turned all of these off per month?

The savings wouldn’t be huge from turning of the computer because if your computer settings haven’t been tweaked it should go into hibernate mode after a set amount of time. Well hibernating the computer won’t use much power at all. A laptop with a normally 2 hour battery life on high quality can last for about a week and a half in hibernate mode. Your caple box isn’t using up much energy either basically all it is using energy on is the lights on the front.
