I have internet connection and want to see TV programs through internet.

I’ve heard that the royal wedding is being broadcast on BBC America. Are there any other channels that will show it, either live or recorded? I’d be open to watching it on the web as well.

The royal weddding will be everywhere. CNN, ABC, NBC, etc. It will be covered with the intensity and solemnity of a war. It will also be all over the web. The trouble will be in trying to avoid it.

I’m with virgin media i pay £32 for a very bad 10mb internet + landline and 100 free view channels , what i’m looking 4 is at least 20mb speed internet with better channels dont use landline at all . UK _SCOTLAND .

You should be able to get 20MB out of a Virgin connection although you might have to pay more. Your other options are BT fibre optic if you can be connected but with limited TV, or Sky broadband/TV. Shouldn’t bother with Talk Talk as it’s slower (8MB) and the TV is a bit rubbish although it is £6 less than you’re paying.

If it’s broadcast TV, NBC, CBS, ABC or FOX you can go to their website & watch their shows the day after over the air broadcast. For others you might try www.hulu.com

I love the internet video channels of my new sony kdl-32ex403u tv (iplayer, ch5, youtube and lovefilm) …. but there are lots of useless ones I will never use (golf, fitness and foreign) …… is there anyway to remove only certain channels from the video, music and photo list on the home screen?

Dubai is a very modern city and is multicultural. It has so many expatriates from all over the world, and having lived there I can assure you that you needn’t have any qualms about being there. It has the state of art theatres ( you’ll be zapped by the number of them) showing movies from US/UK/India/Phillipines and so many others, excellent clubs and golf courses, gyms, schools offering British and American curricula and all facilities that you would need. Of course, there is the internet facility also. The best thing about Dubai is that every person irrespective of his/her nationality feels very much at home. You have everything available there…vegetables and fruits from Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, France and also the huge range of spices from the Asian countries. Definitely, you are not going to miss the lifestyle you are having currently in the US…in fact, probably you may never want to leave Dubai.
Had been to Europe recently, and I too had the same experience as yours…the channels there were the ones in European languages. A couple of them, luckily for me, had either CNN or BBC, and that was enough to at least catch up with some world news.
