I have a toshiba satellite laptop with HDMI port and a Truman 9090s-HD receiver, I have connected the receiver with my laptop via the HDMI cable, Is it possible to watch satellite tv channels on my pc without having a TV tuner card ?

Not that way. The HDMI on your computer is an output to connect to a display, the same as on the satellte receiver.

What you need us a tuner card of some sort, which has an A/V input to make your computer into a TV kind of. You can then connect the satellite box to that.

Another way is to get a Slingbox or other similar device, to provide the satellite receiver video A/V to the computer over the network.
