I don’t want cable tv because they just ripped me off with their internet service which I canceled two days ago. I don’t want to have anything to do with them. I have DSL now. Since I don’t want to get cable tv, I tried to get satellite with Directv but the apartment where I live won’t allow satellites on their property because of risk of damage. So what other choice do I have to watch good TV? I heard about PC satellite, but I wasn’t sure if this was a legitimate service?
They aren’t particularly legitimate, as their MO does not jive with the MO of the channels they claim to carry, and the channels have very big swing, so those channels would outright say no to such a venture.
What they seem to actually sell is a list of channels that stream fro free, and they are nothing like what they advertise.
Unless your telephone/DSL provider specifically has an IPTV service, there is little you can do, but figure how to install a satellite dish without raising the ire of the apartment management, or settle your differences with the cable company.
If you are okay with just broadcast channels, you can get an antenna and a digital convertor box. Some cable channels to have their content online for purchase or streaming.
I mean is there something I can download that allows me to watch TV on my PC?
I would appreciate it if I don’t have to create an account, but if i have to i will.

We live in the country (basically in the middle of a corn field) I don’t even think there is a cell phone tower within 30 miles of our house. We would like to get satellite internet but I do not know any brands or companies that offer it besides Verizon. Is there anything cheaper than Verizon or better quality? Any input on this subject will be very helpful
