Why can’t we share the time slot in satellite tv channel?

Filed under: satellite tv channel — admin @ 1:06 am

We know that in one part of the globe people go to bed, where as in the other part, people go to work. I mean one side is night, when other side is day. Suppose, there is a TV satellite channel in europe and wishes to share time slot with another production house of India. In this case, people of India can view the hindi like prog. 12 hrs in their regular non-sleeping time and same will be the case for the European people too. Is there any way, by which the 24 hrs. time slot can be used in partner basis, by which the people of both part can enjoy their programs in a very low production cost?

In addition to the fact that programming is 24/7, most satellites are geostationary, so they are visible only by a specific set of countries, usually close by and similar time zones

How to set up Free to Air Satellite TV channel from Australia; Melbourne

We are not for profit organization with no money. But we need to setup our Free to Air satellite tv channel from Australia; Melbourne on the satellite Optus D2 or any other satellite has Australia in its blueprint.

We have no problem with TV contents, because we can download it from our friends TV station for free using FTP over the internet.

What we have to do
1-Download the TV contents
2-Edit and add Voice Over in English
3-Broadcast again.

What we like to get
•Accept Advertising and show it on our TV
•Be able to schedule the ads
•Accept SMS messages and show it as scrolling text on the screen

What we have
Fast PC
Internet Broadband
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Sound Booth
Adobe After-effects
Adobe Photo shop

HD consumer camcorder
Mic and Tripod

We need information about
The minimum cost for the software and hardware to accept SMS, phone call and TV Ads
Send the contents to Uplinke Company. How to send it is it by Broadband?
Government License cost (Australia)
Uplink cost and equipment
Any other requirement we have to comply with it.
Uplink companies’ website

Please answer us with details including names and website

Thank you,
Thank you for your answer.
But what is the obtain rights to programming?
some of the material which is we are going to use already broadcast in Australia on OptusD2 satellite.
Could you please tell me which guide line I have to comply with for the Australian Market.

I am looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

You need to obtain rights to programming. It is not as simple as downloading them from someplace.

Becasuse you want to run advertising, you may need to run it as a commercial concern.

SMS and ads are likely pretty cheap, compared to the costs to deal with regulators, and obtaining uplink time and resources.

All-in-all, you need to hire a consultant to find out all you need to do to get a signal out of your facility and up on satellite, licenses and such, the basic studio equipment to run your sort of station. hire the right personnel, and obtain rights to "broadcast" the programming you intend to.

satellite TV set up, channels not playing?

Filed under: satellite tv channel — admin @ 11:50 am

I have set up my satellite TV with echo star, signal strength and quality is excellent and receiving the TV channels. When try to play, a message comes "Sevice not available". Can any body explain? (i get the channel list when searching for it)

either you didn’t subscribe to the channel you’re trying to watch (like HBO) or there is something wrong with your service.

Since you do get a message on your tv saying "service not available", that means you have everything connected correctly.

Call the customer support.. they should be able to help you figure out what’s going on

At what speed do the Dish/Satellite Tv channels are bradcasted?

Filed under: satellite tv channel — admin @ 2:17 am

We were watching Tv channels through cable.
but now these channels are transmitted through air with great quality to our homes.
So, my doubt is at what speed is the tv channels are streamed to our houses in MBPS? and do it differs for HD videos. Can anyone tell the exact speed of it?

It is going to vary all over the place depending on the satellite and the technology on it, the service involved, is the signal high def or standard def, the compression used, even down to what transponder on a satellite that you are talking about. It could be anywhere from 5 MBPS up to maybe 15 or so.

Some of my satellite tv channels don’t work anymore?

Filed under: satellite tv channel — admin @ 7:42 pm

I’m with Bell and I have satellite. I’ve noticed lately that some of my channels I have don’t work anymore. Some channels work fine but others don’t (I have superscribed to these channels since I was watching them weeks ago) My other TV’s that are set up to the same dish work fine. Any suggestions?

You either have a problem with the line going to the receiver, the receiver itself, or the port on the LNB that the receiver is connected to.

Can you view conax coded satellite tv channels?

Filed under: satellite tv channel — admin @ 7:03 pm

I wonder if there’s a way to view conax crypted channels with a dreambox. I heared it hasn’t been decoded yet. Is this true?

You can view them whith hardware the provider provides to subscribe to them.

If the Dreambox has a CI slit and the provider issues a CI card, you can use that.

You cannot legally subvert the provider’s encryption. That is piracy and illegal.
