Where did the Lord Jesus Prophesy His inventing the Television/Computer?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 4:37 pm

Where did the Lord prophesy that He would bring forth the Computer/Television?
For those who do not know, in the book of Zechariah 5:2-4 The Lord has Zechariah look upon a vision, ans asks him what he see’s and Zechariah never seeing a satellite called it a flying roll, and the Lord Gave Zechariah the dimensions of the first Satellite and Zechariah told us that he seen a giant roll going across the face of the earth/Circling the face of the earth! Then the Lord tells Zechariah that there would be this thing in the midst of every home, and that atheists would speak blaspheme from the midst of their home and that He our Lord would burn the home and computer/Television! Now that’s a God, who foretells of His science, and yet blind atheists cannot see Him speaking of their blasphemy this day and spoke of it over 2500 years ago…NOW THAT’S A GOD…For much Word on the many truths science is now proving for Gods Word finishing His mystery Rev:10:7…Go to your google search and type in Adam and Eve seed gathering…and therein the truth as well as His mystery is exposed therein…The gathering has begun..

That was pretty cool. Good Job. God Bless

Television & Computer monitor?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 6:02 am

This is sorta two questions. First, I want to find a decent, but relatively inexpensive monitor that can function as both a TV and that I can connect my laptop to so it can function as a monitor. I want one that is full HD, 16:9 ratio (I think most are) and about 23". Any suggestions? My laptop is an HP if that makes much of a difference.
One other question is how to do this. I am not sure how to connect my laptop to another monitor. If I have the monitor plugged in, can I close my laptop and use a wireless keyboard or something and have my laptop functioning while closed but with the images displayed on the second monitor?
Thanks, much appreciated.

It depends on what kind of video connector you have on your laptop for an external monitor. Most computers have an SVGA connector (D-shaped, three rows of pins). But some have an HDMI connector (like for a TV).

There are many TVs around 23" that have SVGA connectors, and of course all of them have HDMI connectors. So whatever kind of connector you have on your laptop, get a TV with that connector on it. Then all you need is a cable. You may need another cable for the audio (or maybe a good pair of computer speakers).

A lot of TVs today are made to be used also as a computer monitor, especially in that size range.

There might be something you h ave to do to the computer to switch the video signal to the output connector. You would learn that from the manual, or from HP’s website.

Telephones, Television, Computer–what’s the best service to go with for all?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 7:19 am

This is ‘3-way complicated,’ as I’m sure it is for everyone. You’ve got: 1. Your Telephone
2. Your TV Service
3. You Computer Service

With TELEPHONES: you’ve got the option of:
1. Landline
2. Cell phone
3. Both.
4. Magicjack for $19.95/year. My sister gave me hers because she
never used it. Magicjack works when it works, but darned if I can figure out how to KEEP it
working. It keeps getting messed up.

So right now we have the above three phone services.
–I have a Virgin Cell Phone, which only costs me $10-$15/month at this time (pay per minute). the Virgin phone at $10-$15/month is STILL less expensive than having a $30-$40 contract with Cingular or Verizon Cell phone or whomever. I need it for work, plus emergencies, but I usually use my land line whenever I can.
–I have a Landline, with unlimited calling, which is a real joy because you don’t have to count the minutes you talk AS you talk (no weekend/weekday restrictions, no worrying ‘free minute time"–if it’s 9 pm on the west coast, then it’s midnight on the east coast, etc… That is, unless the person you’re calling has a cell phone, then you have to worry about their end of things). But the vast majority of my phone calls are out of state, given that I live on the PA side of the PA/NJ line and work in NJ–plus my family is in TX, CA, NY, Indiana AND PA. It’s not like the old days when your job, your friends and your family were mostly local).

WITH TELEVISION:
There’s the option of 1. Cable, which we have at the moment.
2. Satellite.

Then there’s: THE COMPUTER. Which we can choose to connect either to
1. Our phone service. DSL, I think. OR
2. Our TV service: Comcast.

Then there’s something called FIOS–fiber-optic something–which they keep saying will be available to us in our area soon but they’ve been saying that for a long time and FIOS still isn’t
here.

We chose to connect our computer to our Verizon service because a few years ago, when we moved to New Hope PA and signed up, DSL was only $20 per month while Computer-through-Comcast was $40.00/month.

But what’s the best way to go now? Should we just keep paying the bills to Comcast for TV, Verizon for landline and computer, Virgin for cell phone by-the-minute, and wait for FIOS to come along?

What are the rest of you out there doing? Is FIOS worth waiting for? My husband keeps talking about getting satellite TV, maybe because FIOS hasn’t shown up in our area yet…

Whatever. Any information to help us think this through would be greatly appreciated.

Satellite TV:
Dish Network - http://www.sathookup.com/dish-network.php
Directv - http://www.sathookup.com/directv.php

Internet/Phone:
Verizon DSL/Fios - http://www.FiosFinder.com

I recommend satellite tv and DSL/land line phone unless you need super speeds. I’m not sure if a VOIP phone (Vonage) will work over DSL - but let us know.

Good luck!

How do I hook up my computer to my television?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 7:53 am

I bought a TV that has HDMI ports and a computer that has them as well.

I want to watch movies from my computer on my television.

Is it a simple hook up with a cable or what do I have to do?

put hdmi cable into computer put hdmi cable into TV after that a menu might pop up asking you to customize it resolution and other stuff

if your TV and computer both have VGA cable ports it looks better if you do it that way

Does sleep amount/schedule and things like Television, Computer, and not getting outside much strain the eyes?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 8:20 am

I have recently been diagnosed as near sited, so I have some problems seeing distance. I will have to soon wear glasses on a part time usage, for things like movies, classroom, and maybe driving (Doctor said maybe.) I would like to get surgery when I turn older to correct the problem, but I’m curious if maybe I fix a few things in my lifestyle, maybe my eyesight would change. I would like to mention that though both of my parents wear glasses, they did not start to wear them till they were about 40.
Does reading do any strain?

Yes, I strained my eyes and had to wear glasses for the first time in my life at 25. I changed everything and stopped coming on here as much and didn’t need the glasses a year later.

Yes reading strains. Anything that involves using your eyes a lot will strain.

Is there a cable or other device that can be used to connect a computer to the A/V inputs of a television?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 11:50 am

My wife is disabled and sits across the room from the computer. Our television is nearby and is larger. It would be nice if I could connect the computer to the television so she can see things I get on the computer.

Yes, there is. This video should explain everything:

Can I connect my television to my computer to act as a screen?

Filed under: television on computer — admin @ 11:38 pm

I don’t have cable, so I watch netflix and hulu and stuff online. Is there some kind of cord or magic box that would allow me to watch the internet on my tv? The tv is a Phillips flatscreen, and I have DSL and an Xbox 360, if any of that helps. Thanks!

You mean like this? http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f347/armchairaviator/computer/IMG_0880c.jpg

My computer has a DVI port, which is compatible with the HDMI ports on the HDTV. It’s connected using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. As you can see in the photo, it works perfectly.
