How come I have to pay just to watch a tv series that airs on television?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 2:48 am

I already pay to watch it on my tv. How come I can’t just watch it on the internet for free? That’s messed up. I want to watch I almost got away with it but I can’t find a single site that’s offering to let people see it. How come these other websites have up other tv shows that can be watched but that tv show you have to buy? WHY?!

what tv series? there;s a thousand of free sites on the internet, but only few are safe.. why not use yahoo answer to search a site where you can download that tv series that you wanna watch…

would i need to wire my boat (or RV) if i wanted internet or television service while commuting on it?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 1:34 am

lets just suppose i am on my boat on an off-grid site where there are no transmission lines, yet i would be relying on my own power that i have generated through microhydro (with a turbine, penstock, etc). Could my boat be wired using an AC electrical outlet just like a regular house so i can plug in a television or internet or microwave or other appliances? Could i also somehow have a shower installed on the sail boat?

Midnightowl. . .

Your TV, Stereo, Microwave, Oven, Refrigerator, Computer, Coffee pot, shower with hot water, and "other appliance" dreams - while boating - have all come true for many-many sailors and other boaters.

You can learn about all this and even how to send & receive email from the middle of the ocean, can all be found at the link below.

Happy & Safe boating,
John

What kinds of effects does exposure to media like television and internet have on one’s psychology?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 4:38 pm

I’m sorry to phrase the question so awkwardly and vaguely. By "psychology" I guess I’m referring to such things as attention span, analytical ability, ability to learn. Are we better or worse off intellectually, as a society, than we were, say, 200 years ago, well before the advent of electronics, mass-media, ease of communication, methods of communication ideas and so on?

I unfortunately don’t know enough about psychology to formulate the question as precisely as I’d like, but hopefully what I’ve written will give some idea.

we are worse with internet and television because now rather than doing things manually.. we use our resources… example.. i see some people taking out a calculator to solve 121+45 … if there werent calculators… people would be doing it manually and they’d be used to it … not to mention that internet and television have a great influence on what we do… because of it, a lot of people slack and play games or chat or go on facebook when in actuality they could be working.. its also bad for your eyes which is bad for your brain …. essentially saying… granted the benefits of internet and television and electronics in general…it is very arguable that we humans have become less smart :P

Where can internet television be purchased?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 12:22 am

I have heard that it is possible to subscribe to an internet television service which is similar to watching cable television. Of course there is the initial buffer time on the channels, but I am looking for something which has standard cable channels available. I have a high-speed cable connection.

Who sells service like this?

There aren’t any legitimate services delivered over the general internet comparable to a real cable service, let alone with the normal cable channels. The nearest thing is a few niche/ethnic services, and after the fact sites like Hulu.com or netflix.

Since you already have cable internet, the practical answer is to subscribe to TV service from the cable provider.

I was wondering can I browse the internet on the Wii console?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 7:19 am

I have purchased the Wii LAN adapter to view the internet on my television through my Wii. I am trying to find out can I view web pages such as youtube or other video web sites….

What those last people say is false!!! Just open up wii shop channel, then click on channels, then download it directly from the wii shop channel FREE.It will be called the "Internet Channel". Anyone who pays for that has been swindled! And yes you can view youtube videos, but they may look like they are in a lower quality being on a tv. There is hardly anything you can’t do on your wii’s internet that you can’t do on your computer. It seems stupid to pay $5.00 for something you can download for free!

How do I watch videos from the internet on my television?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 9:20 am

I already bought all the correct wires, but it still isn’t working. Is there something else I need to download or something? I hope someone can help since Best Buy clearly can’t return any phone calls.

If your wires are hooked up correctly you need to go into your display settings in your computer. You will probably need to scan I think it is, and click duplicate desktop on monitor 2or3 try either one that should work for you! Hope I helped. Keep in mind s video cables do not carry audio, so if you have that you’ll have to use your computer speakers.
