I have a Satellite connected to all of my tv’s in the house. And I was wondering if I could do something to get "tv" on computer? I have empty antenna slots in my house which are live.
You need to connect one of your satellite receivers to a TV Tuner card on your computer.
I have download loads of programs to watch tv on my computer but they all just fail, the program i use have a list on the left and you pick the channel you want to watch but when you pick one you cant watch anything?

I have a dell xps laptop it has a hdmi output so when I plug it into my hdtv it shows up but it doesnt fit onto the whole screen, it ends up being a smaller version with a bunch of empty black space on the tv screen. Ive done it before on other tvs and its works fine. Ive tried changing some options on the tv and computer but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
It could be a problem with your resolution. It might not work, but it’s worth a try I guess, seeing as it’s fairly easy to revert back to normal if it doesn’t work. What you want to do is go into control panel, and then click "display". Then click on the "settings" tab. There should be something titled "resolution" there. Adjust that to the highest setting, and then try connecting it to your TV.
It has a DVI ive never seen before, Its not DVI-I single link, DVI-I Dual,DVI-D single or dual… Nor analog. My TV is a 2005 Philips (model 51PP9303 H/17) ..any suggestions on how to hook up my TV/ Computer will be awesome. thanks :]

personally i use a media drive that connects to my pc and tv around £100, if you want to make a dvd it is much easier to do it on your computer - get a program called nero 7 of mininova and that will take off any copyright your film may have - to make a dvd via tv - you will have to buy a dvd recorder a bit expensive if you ask me
