Want tv with multi-screen capability with tv & computer on the screens. Is this HW or SW?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 7:57 am

I am looking to purchase a new LCD or Plasma television and I want one that allows me to show two screens, computer and television, at the same time. The ones I have seen have PIP but I would prefer something where the two screens are the same size. Do I have to purchase an upscale television or is this something that can be done with any LCD or Plasma television? Is there software that I should research? Do you have a suggestion on what I should purchase?

take a good look at Panasonic rear projection LCD
they were first and still lead the market in Computer
and TV split screen
most models offer 3 inputs for computers 2 DB-15 and 1 DVI
only the DB-15 inputs will force a columar pixel pattern
making text clearer on computer display

Do you find yourself using the TV, Computer, and Phone all at once everyday?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 9:08 am

If so, why? How do you manage to focus on all those things at once? Or do you have some on just to h ave some on?

Um… I don’t use the phone much, but I sometimes find myself doing it. I am at the PC all the time when not studying (9th grade) and I watch TV with that very frequently. But sometimes I also use my computer, copier, TV together, along with talking to my baby brother. Neither do I have an AMD in my head and nor am I a woman, still I can manage.

This is called a real genius…

how many hours do adults watch tv/computer?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 11:11 am

I want to know on average how much time do we spend watching tv and how many hours do we spend infront of a computer on average

thanks in advance

I don’t have a TV, so never, but I spend 3 or 4 hours a day in total on the computer, doing leisure activities. More than that working!

I need a new hobby. ;p Thank you for confirming that!

How often do you come home from work and sit in front of the TV/Computer?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 10:42 am

That’s what I do. I only go out on weekdays and the Saturdays I have to work if I’m going out with friends. I sometimes go to the gym to work off the calories I wasn’t burning doing this, but that’s about it.

too often!

What would your reaction be if 1 day you wake up, you turn on the tv/computer & you find out US attacked Iran?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 9:31 am

How would you react? What would come to mind?

I would just shrug my shoulders and acknowledge what we all ready know…Pres. Bush is mentally ill and easily influenced by those who surround him.

This scenario truly could happen. If it does, be prepared for a depression in our country and upheaval in the middle east.

Nothing that the Bush Administration does surprises me. The ship of state is out of control and Bluto is at the helm.

how do you watch your vid. from your camera on a tv/computer while filming?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 7:57 am

Do you need a special camera? Or a certin cable?

The easiest thing is connecting the Camcorder to a TV. As all camcorders that I am aware of can do it without taking something out. All you need to do is connect AV output of the camera to the TV (if the TV has AV inputs). Usually the cables are color coded where yellow means video and red and whit is audio. Some camcorders require a special cable (normally provided with the camera) that has a mini jack (looks like the plug in most headphones) that has a 3 connection support and breakup to three cables (with RCA ends). In a few cameras you actually need to activate the output (usually a setting in the menu section).

For the computer connection, it gets complicated and usually requires cables that you may not have. For that I recommend to have a friend that is computer/video savy as this is not a simple undertaking in some cases.

is there a type of computer monitor where you can also connect cable tv?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 7:10 am

Not sure if they make this computer/tv monitor.

if you have an hd cable box then any monitor will work. if you want to plug a coax in, you should buy a tv with hdmi/vga/dvi inputs to also use as a monitor

Help integrating a Windows XP Media Center Edition computer with a TV?

Filed under: tv on computer — admin @ 6:18 am

This is what I have
Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 computer
TV
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 DVR
What do I need, how much am I looking at spending, and how smooth will the interface be?
I’m pretty sure i said Explorer 8300, not Explorer 8300HD. Sadly, it’s not an HD TV.

all you need is a tv tuner adapter for your pc it shoulnt cost to much but they can be pricey if you want high quality.
