Yea I actually did experience this.I was grounded for 2 months.But think, a 16 year old teenager gets grounded by her own parents, weird huh?!. Well yea I experienced that, and it made totaly big changes on my life.No tv, no ipods, no phone, no cellphone, and no computers.It totally affected my whole entire life (joking, it’s not pretty much bad though).But what I realized on that day was really weird.I could totally live my life well without those things.And it had some good effects to.Without the ipods or the phone, or the cellphone, my grades in math got higher bec. my mind has already forgotten about my….always calling on the cell or the phone boyfriend. So i completely forgot him.And about the tv, My assingments got really high grades on that bec. i can’t watch tv, so I studied instead (hey!, it’s more ridiculous to do nothing while you have some important things to do).So yea, i actually learned many things on that.And would i ever try it again, hell yea!…It totally rocked my world (even though my life got not much interesting, atleast it made my whole family and friends very happy). Maybe you should try it (if you can take the challenge ofcourse).Well thanks again!.It’s been nice answering your question.Bye!
If possible will the parents be responsible for not taking away their cell phones computer TVs and other electronics if they get overweight start online gambling or start internet sex, porn and many other things?

Parents have a huge job. That job is to make sure our kids are safe, and are in a good environment, so they can grow and succeed in life. Part of the good environment would be giving kids rules and making sure they abide by them,. Certainly, TV and computers, cell phones and other electronics, should be monitored. Kids aren’t capable of giving themselves rules and boundaries, so it’s up to parents. Kids can earn computer time. Mine get an hour a day. Parental controls on the computer can monitor what sites they go on etc.
Before they go on, they must complete a list of a few chores and any homework.
Also, they might get computer time taken away, or disobedience etc.
I don’t think we can put the blame on parents totally for the obesity epidemic. Parents certainly play a very important role in making sure their kids eat appropirately. Parents need to be educated and told of the choices of foods out there.
So, parents we should use these gadgets to our advantage. They are priviledges and should be used only when chores/homework is done. If a child is misbehaving, after a warning, take away computer time. The main thing is to be consistent. It won’t work if we enforce a rule one week, but let it go the next time the kid does something bad.

No, if you are using an antenna, just plug a splitter in and run it to the pc tuner input.
I pay for internet and tv service through cox, it is expensive. I think my cell phone co., AT&T offers cheaper internet but would it be cheaper to watch tv through my computer? What would I need to do to watch tv on computer? Can I use an anolog box to watch tv without having to pay for service?
