In windows media center on my desktop I have the option "internet TV" and in my media center on my xbox I dont. Is there a way I can change that?
No, the version on your x-box doesn’t currently support it.. try streaming it through the browser itself though;).
I’m canceling my Cable TV service, but want to know when new episodes of favorite shows are available online. Are there any services that will track my favorite shows and notify me of them (like a TiVo season pass, but for internet video).
Im pretty sure you can sign up for tvguide.com and it will email you whenever your favorite shows are on. Also you can watch the show at Hulu.com usually new episodes come on a day after they premiere on tv
I would be willing to purchase the necessary items including a new TV or computer to get rid of Dish and go to internet TV. Any suggestions?

ll you need to have is a good internet connection with at least over 1Mbps and a reliale software to help you access the channels you like.
I was prompted to install this when I first used internet tv. I now find it more a nuisance than a feature and want to get rid of it. But I don’t actually know how. I can just quit it easy enough but how do I prevent executing on startup. (It’s not in the startup tray that I can see in msconfig)

I have hotspot on my phone which I use for my laptop, can I use this to download movies with my dvr & cinema plus?
If your phone is a smart phone you may be able to watch internet tv or pc tv from worldwide. There are softwares that can run on pc but you just have to try out to know if it works on mobile smart phone. This is because the OS in smart phone may not be compatible with the software. But if you’ve window mobile phone, then it may works.
I tried some websites on my iphone and it works to some extent. But all the free iphone apps give me only junk tv channels, blank screen or often just plain advertisement. So I check out some other service like Elite Tv which give me access to tv channels from world wide. But I have not try it on a smart phone.
