how do I alter the colour on my TV from my laptop?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 8:09 am

when I view movies or photos on my TV from my laptop (HDMI to HDMI) the TV screen is far too colourful with bright reds. Turning the colour down on the TV doesnt reduce it!

Secondly, the desktop display on my tv screen doesnt fit…it is too big for the TV screen.

you’ll need to alter the screen res on your laptop, by right click on your desktop choose properties, and increase it until its suitable, as for color there are some graphics cards you can alter so when in setting should be an option for advance choose that and it might let you change it.
if it doesn’t then you can download http://majorgeeks.com/3Deep_d3410.html total free program and will help tweak your colours.

How can I connect my macbook laptop with apple tv or regular tv?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 2:07 am

I saw at blockbuster that they had a apple laptop screen on tv and you could see it on there and stuff. What kind of stuff do i need to do that. All i saw was the tv, laptop, and apple tv. I have all that but im not sure if its right things. Please any help

I have my Apple TV connected to my Large TV screen using HDMI.
I also have connected my MacBookPro (using DVI -> HDMI) to the Large TV. Actually Apple store sells this cable and I bet it is a Belkin made. Once connections are done, just share your display on Mac and you can see it on TV.

I watch ton of sports which are streamed on Internet - hooking this way I get to watch it on large TV.

How can I transfer the image on the laptop to the TV?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 5:43 pm

Your TV needs to have an HDMI or VGA jack and so does your laptop. They could be different but you would half to use an adapter. This what they look like:

To bring the sound to the TV, you would need to use an s-cable which can be the little head phone jack, the red jack for the TV, etc. It depends what your TV and laptop supports.

How to transfer sound through an HDMI cable with a tv and a laptop?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 1:31 am

I am using an extended display between my tv and laptop through an HDMI cable, I want to know if anyone knows how to transfer sound between the two (and by that I mean when the movie or whatever is on the computer the computer is the primary but when you move it to the tv the tv becomes the primary sound) I know how to switch between the two but I want to know if someone knew how to set that setting automatically.

When connected to the television through the HDMI output right click on the speaker icon (if in windows 7) on the right lower corner. Select the "Playback Devices" option and locate your TV. Select your TV with on left click and then press the "Set Default" option.

Toshiba Laptop->HDMI Cable To LCD TV Full Screen? When Unplugged I Can’t Get Full Screen On Laptop?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 7:27 am

I need some help with connecting my laptop to my 42" LCD TV.
I connected it with my brand new HDMI cable, at first the TV had a full screen picture, but after about 25 minutes I had a 3 inch black box all around the picture/video. I don’t know why it switched, I didn’t do anything to it. I tried to change the screen Resolution on my laptop, it Did give me full screen on the TV, but it made everything too BIG on my laptop. So, I had to do a system restore to get my laptop back to normal. But then I went to watch a video that I had previously watched in full screen on my laptop, but now it is in Widescreen on my laptop/it has black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. I have done system restore several times, and it won’t fix it, I don’t know what to do, I have worked on this for Hours, and Hours…
Can you please tell me how to get full screen back on my laptop, and how to get full screen on my LCD TV?
Please I really need some help
Thank You!

You should be able to go to the personalisation then to your display settings and then change the settings for your PnP display

How do I connect my Laptop to my TV?

Filed under: tv on laptop — admin @ 7:53 am

I want to set up a movie for my family from the laptop but I don’t know how to do it. So I used something called a HDMI wire to connect the TV to laptop BUT it says no signal on the TV after I did this so I went to youtube and I clicked on this Icon and it said no device found. What to do?

Use s-video port or a HDMI port. If you have an LCD TV you can buy any of the two (above mentioned) cables for your laptop brand
