i recently saw a TV commercial for a computer cleanup software called, "www.finallyfast.com" . I downloaded the PC Speed Scan Pro and the PC Scan and Sweep. I paid $30 for each download and I run it when I turn on my computer and it supposedly cleans your computer and removes erros. Is this thing for real ? I hope it is not a scam !
To be honest, there’s probably nothing wrong with the software, but there are many alternatives out there that are free and do the same thing. I recommend you do some research next time you are about to drop some dough on something like that. Spybot is free - www.spybot.info - and scans your computer for spyware and removes it. There are also other things you can do to your computer like removing temporary files. Ccleaner - ccleaner.com - does this well. You should also try defragmenting your pc from time to time. This is built into windows and works well.
No and yes.
You don’t say how you are connected. Ariel, co-axel, Components? Ariel co-ax would give poor quality and component or s-video the best depends on what inputs you have available.
The graphics are not being rendered by the PC so GPU processing power is not relevant here. The graphics are rendered by the PS2 then sent via video feed to the PC to display on the monitor.
Yes. Wireless won’t stop your TV tuner working - you can safely run both at the same time.
I’ve been saving now and I’m wondering if I should get a new tv, a new computer, or a new electronic drum kit. I have a real bad electronic drum kit and if I got a new one I’d be able to practice more. I also have a laptop but I want a desktop for more power because my laptop isn’t that good. I also have a tv but it’s bad and not so good for gaming, I plan on mounting it. Suggestions please, thanks!!
well truth in ur answer if which you will use the most, all have perks, u say ud like ur electonic drum kit for additional practise so good hobby, if u think u will get alot more use than others ur set to go if not… ye, a computer could be costly but also could save u some money depends how high spec but comp conquers tv as it might not be as good as one but u still can watch stuff online and download aswell as game, but if u wish to game via console more, and enjoy a nice hd movie with surround sound (and a nice rich feel to ur room) maybe the tv
if i was to have one these dispite my current onei would choose the computer, if u wont use it loads dont bother but i see it a computer can be a tv, a games console, a media centre… ok u cant play ur electric drums on it… well it wouldnt be the same, and u cnt play halo or wot ever but u still get ur games and much more so if i choose i would take the desktop comp
but i will rank em in order which i in my PERSONAL OPINION would take, dont feel there best because i think so:
1) Desktop Computer- seems more profittible, and honestly u might have some left over money for pizza or ur favorite pc video game
2) Electric Drums- a good hobby (not saying that because i like em just is a nice good hobby) so is a nice thing to have round espically for practise
3) TV- nice to have, makes u feel good but all in all… its just a wider screen with that little bit better colour quality
hope this helps in some way
Well i know anything is possible because there are some geniuses who can function like that… the top 4 percent of my graduating class are on the computer every night while doing homework and chatting with their friends… and still get straight A’s! But I can’t do that! Once the computer, or worse, tv, is on, i get nothing done until it is off! Which part of my brain is lacking compared to those geniuses who can multitask?
Can you study well/ do homework efficiently while the computer or tv is on? Which negatively affects you more: Tv or computer? Is it possible to learn to multitask…. watching tv/surfing the web while
doing hw?
Yes, it’s entirely possible. Most extroverts study well with music on. Introverts, primarily look for the exact opposite; peace and quiet in order to get things done.
I asked a question a couple days ago..
This was the answer I recieved:
If it is an HDMI on both ends of the cable and on the computer, you need to set computer audio out to HDMI.
If either end is other than HDMI, you need to run analog audio from the computer to TV, usually with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm or RCA stereo cable.
SOOOO now my question is,, how does one set their computer audio to HDMI
you can try in control panel > sound
most sound cards have an option for digital output you can turn on/off.
i just have my tv and pc hooked up to my stereo.
the pc is hooked up via a mini rca to standard composite audio cable. inexepensive. $5-$8 at target or similar. one end is a tiny (mini headphone jack). that hooks up to the sound card output. the other end is left and right (usually red and black) composite audio jacks. those hook up to any available input on the back of your amp.
i bought a cord at best buy to connect my tv & my computer to see the computer screen on my tv. everything works but the sound even though i bought a cord that was supposed to make the sound come through the tv? no directions where to put the ends ? ahh

During the past year, I have been using the computer for atleast 8-10 hours a day and a while ago, I noticed that my vision seemed to be in poorer than usual. I laid down on my bed and I couldn’t clearly see my calendar that is 13 feet away which during the past, was clear as day. I don’t want to wear contact lenses/eyeglasses and I’m very worried! Does too much tv/computer really destroy your eyes?
I think it is bad for your eyes. If I find myself staring at a screen for too long, my vision also gets blurry. But it goes back to normal after a while when I’m not looking at a screen.
Best solution: stay off the computer. 8-10 hours a day is way too much.
I want to buy a new computer system, but I am not sure what kind of systems requirements I need for optimal streaming. What do I need to watch TV on my PC?
Anny new computer will do the work. Just make sure you have allot of bandwidth with your internet provider because watching tv online takes allot of juice.
SO i connected my tv to my computer with an hdmi cable, and my desktop picture shows up on the tv, but no applications do. How do i get applications onto the tv? there isnt even a start button.
Your computer and TV are working just fine.
You are running in Extended Desktop mode, where your TV becomes extra desktop space where you can drag open windows to.
Try it. Open a window on your monitor, use your mouse to drag that window off the edge of your monitor screen, and watch it magically appear on your TV.
It’s working normally.
