If it is not on their websites then I dont know where you would find it.
I have an old Web TV box- (I was never able to find a cordless keyboard for this one when I needed it).
I’ve had internet access with a computer for the last 10 years but, Webtv was so cool and came in handy when I did not have and could not afford a personal computer.
I would hope that Microsoft or who ever owns Webtv now would make it free to people to search the net and have an
e-mail account. I was low on $$$ and it was a good deal for me a few years ago.
After all the internet provider fall-out and the fact most people who can afford access-already do. What could it really cost Microsoft or whoever to cover it.
Can we provide a connection with these boxes that are going to waste?
Kinda like old cell phones that you donate that can at least call 911.
There are still over a million users on Webtv / MSNTV according to a recent job posting for an MSNTV researcher. Microsoft rebranded Webtv to MSNTV after buying it in 1997.
The original WebTV / MSNTV is an improved mature product that is ideal for the elderly.
What you probably didn’t realize is that there is an actual computer in Mountain View, CA supporting the set-top box. Microsoft’s computer (actually servers) protects Webtv users with an impressive firewall - shielding them from viruses. Current Webtv users are thrilled Microsoft has not abandoned them.
There is even a new box called MSNTV2. MSNTV2 has the latest technology designed primarily for broadband and a home network. MSNTV2 is still evolving, not yet stable like WebTV.
Microsoft charges just $9.95 a month for either box, when customers provide their own ISP (including broadband for MSNTV2). Webtv is still a bargain for someone not wanting the expense or hassle of a computer; MSNTV2 provides high speed Internet for my high tech home theater.
Webtv Keyboards have always been cheap on Ebay.
I have Direct TV DVR service. I noticed a while back, that I can record two shows on two different TV’s but I can only watch the programs on one TV. It used to be where I could watch the recorded programs on either of the two TV’s I use. Anyone know what I can do? I tried the Direct TV web site to get some help but I couldn’t find any. Any help would be much much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
DirecTV service requires 1 receiver for every tv. As such, your dvr records 2 programs on the 1 tv and doesn’t use both tvs. A DirecTV DVR will allow you to watch the recorded program only on the receiver it was recorded to.
I have Windows Vista Home Premium. just a blank screen on the webpage.
I use http://www.tv-on-net.net
Hope that can help you.
Can any one pl suggest me what i need to buy to see my pic stored in computer n utube, internet prog on tv?
i got compaq presario sr 1625nx n it got svideo i guess this is of 5 pins n the tv is 42" new lg bought in jan 2010
i came to know i need to buy one svideo cord which i need to buy for 12 foot as my tv is away and may be i need to buy a video card too? not sure, pl tell me what all i need.
thanks a lot
Don’t use that S-video garbage.
Check your 42" LG HDTV and see if it has a "PC input" or "DB15". That would be a standard VGA jack, which you can connect to your Presario using a standard VGA monitor cable.
VGA will give you a FAR superior image than S-video, which is LOW DEFINITION only.
I have seen advertised on the TV ‘web books’ (I think that’s what they are called). They look like laptops but are supposedly for surfing the net.
Do you know if you have to have a router and all that stuff? I know nothing about these things so please excuse my ignorance!
"Netbooks" or "webbooks" will have a port for a CAT5 cable/ethernet cable as well as a wireless network card. Basically, its a small notebook with reduced capabilities.
Here’s a link to a few examples from Acer on the Best Buy website:

Edit:
you wrote - "Do you know if you have to have a router and all that stuff?"
You need all the equipment you would normally use on any other computer. Unless you’re using that 3G network adapter card or whatever the proper term is.
I have aparently an old mitsubishi tv and need the instruction manual, it is not listed on the mitsubishi tv web site. I’m trying to reset the tv, and my grandparents have passed on and no one else in the family knows the lock code to unlock it. Any Ideas where to get one?
See if you can find an instruction manual at this website: http://www.samswebsite.com/photofact/pf_search.asp
If so then why do they follow religion?Because all the religions of the world never accept this trend. Is it like two kinds of elephant’s teeth, one for chewing and one for showing and what are the religious heads and the organizations are doing ? Just acting like mouthpiece?

Can anyone tell me who was eliminated on X factor last night? cant seem to watch it on Ant1
My question is in the Greek section, not rocket science is it…
Thanks Kosta, will try again on the Ant1 website.
My favourite 4 are left in X factor! I would like to see Eleni or 48 hours win! when is the final?
I know this is the UK and Ireland site but that doesn’t mean that every question has to relate to the UK or Ireland! X factor is shown in other countries and the world doesn’t end in the UK.
