Can a satellite dish increase download speed on File sharing?
Ever since I got my direct tv satellite dish my download speeds have increase tremendously and I get more searches. Do you think it might have something to do with the satelite dish. I use a cable dsl

More than likely, your phone company updated some of their equipment, enabling you to get better speeds.

If you were watching TV and surfing the web over the same cable before you got direct TV, then the switch to direct TV could be the reason that you have faster downloads since you are no longer using a large percentage of your bandwidth on the cable for the TV signal. The question I have for you though is, do you have a cable modem or DSL, since they are two completely different systems? If you have a cable modem then your theory would make sense, if you have DSL it makes no sense.
