Are they really free? No, you have to pay a 1-time buying cost. Then after that it is totally free.

Does it work as good as cable? Depends completely upon your Internet connection. Do you have a fast Internet connection? By fast, I mean 1 mbps or more. If you do, then yes, it is as good as cable TV. If you do not have this good an Internet connection, then do not take any online TV.

Another thing, there are a lot of International channels also on the show in online TV since they cater to the whole world. They will have the local channels too, of course, but double-check that you are getting the ones you want.

Its not free. live tv to pc is great but cost about 50.00 to down load but well worth it if you
are into Fancast , Vuse and Crackle, where you can view all old tv shows , for
example Have Gun, Will Travel with Richard Boone

No, pretty much all those websites don’t work and/or try to install malware on the computer.

There are websites that stream the episodes itself for free (ad-supported)

Such as:
Hulu :http://www.hulu.com ,
YouTube Shows: http://www.youtube.com/shows
TV.com: http://www.tv.com/
other major tv broadcasting stations such as NBS, CBS, ABC, etc.
