Watch Satellite TV On Your PC

Can I watch Satellite TV with an USB TV stick on my computer?

Filed under: satellite tv computer — admin @ 12:47 pm

I have dish network TV and am wondering if I can connect the dish Standard Receiver to my computer using a USB TV stick? If yes, which USB TV stick would I need? Thanks so much for helping!

There are a bunch of products products that let you view TV on your PC; I’ve provided some links in my source. Now unless you’re using a laptop, I wouldn’t suggest ever using USB unless you absolutely have to (too many USB products hooked up at once can waste USB bandwidth and create problems). So if you’re using a desktop, pick up a PCI TV tuner.

Also, if your goal really is to hook up your reciever to your PC monitor (not your computer), then I would suggest getting a video processor instead. Viewsonic makes a great one (see last link in my source).
