Can I connect my television to my computer to act as a screen?
I don’t have cable, so I watch netflix and hulu and stuff online. Is there some kind of cord or magic box that would allow me to watch the internet on my tv? The tv is a Phillips flatscreen, and I have DSL and an Xbox 360, if any of that helps. Thanks!

My computer has a DVI port, which is compatible with the HDMI ports on the HDTV. It’s connected using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. As you can see in the photo, it works perfectly.
if its a fairly new tv there shud be a VGA port on the back of it which is the same shape as the cord that connects your pc tower to your moniter? [u can just unplug from ur computer moniter and plug into tv]
i can plug my laptop into my 40" tv.

if the tv has a blue connection input, like that same kind on a PC monitor or on the back of the PC. Then you can just reuse the cable. You cant do in wirelessly you need a cable or if your Tv has the right connection

If you have an hdmi connection on the back of your tv and also on your computer you can buy a cheap hdmi cord from http://monoprice.com/
If you have a vga connection on both the back of your tv and your computer you can connect it using that and also getting a cheap cord from monoprice also.

My laptop has a HDMI port, and came with the cable (HDMI) so I plug that into my TV and it work..
So all you need is..
A laptop that has the port
A hdmi cable ( you can always buy one for like 10-20 dollars)
and a tv that supports HDMI and has the port, most modern day TV has it.
Once you plug everything in, mess around with the TV menu, and probably your laptop setting too.
