Bush Internet Television problem…?

Filed under: television on internet — admin @ 9:10 pm

Hi, my Mum has a Bush Internet TV (can’t find a model number at present) and it won’t turn on!

It’s worked fine for ages until friday when it was turned off on the front when in standby and now won’t come back off standby. We’ve changed the batteries in the remote and done the initialise code with the keys to set it up again but nothing will bring it back off standby! We’ve tried turning it on and off at the front, holding the standby button, pressing the channel button on the tv, turned it off at the plug, everything we can think of!!!

Anyone got any advice/suggestions? Besides buy a different make next time of course!
rmn - the number (I think as there are several on the back!) is 1497ITV/3. The power light on the front of the TV is on and the light on the remote comes on too when you push buttons! Thanx in advance.

And for the second answer, of course I have checked the manual, puzzled I may be, but stupid I ain’t!

Have you tried unplugging it from the mains electricity for at least 15 seconds, and then plugging it back in again?

If that doesn’t clear it, then it looks like something has gone wrong with the electronics and is causing the power supply to partially close down, so it will not come out of standby.

Unfortunately, if turning it off at the mains doesn’t help, I think you are going to have to get a TV repair engineer to look at it. The faulty is probably in the TV side.

Good luck anyway!

  3. It sounds like you have a power supply problem.

The model number will be on a label on the back of the set.

Post the number and I will try to help more
