they both have a big influence but id probably have to say that tv has a bigger influence whoever has the most commercials on air and who talked about the most. the media has a severely great impact on voters, I’d say even more than the actual issues of things because a lot of people vote for whoever more talked about References :
In any country both are very powerful now. Instead of reading news items and judging for themselves now they want to see live images. A good charismatic candidate who can talk for a considerable time has a big advantage. And if he is loaded with info’s and ideas he will be a sure winner. all this requires considerable TV time. TV — it retains heavier saturation with older voters, who get to the ballot box in large percentages…it’s these folks who continue to keep newspapers relevant, also…and the advertising there also remains a major player in the political game. References :

Without question, the TV.
It’s called pop culture. A teeny tiny percentage of people in the USA have total control over what we see and hear on a day to day basis. Most of them live in LA or NY. Most of them are Liberal. Some of them are full blown socialists. Why do you think most kids consider themselves to be Liberal. Do you think that happens by accident?
