Can staring at a TV/Computer screen for too long damage eyes?

Yes. I started having problems with my eyes when I started working eight hours in front of the pc. It puts strain on the eyes, on your eye muscle, therefore, more chances to develop nearsightedness or astigmatism. I suggest the you occasionally take a break like looking on a far away object for a couple of seconds.
Nope, it’s just bad for your brain.

TVs and computers can cause eyestrain, headaches, and dry eyes. They will not do any permanent damage to your vision.
