I don’t know if whether or not you would be blocked when connecting from Japan, but ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox all have recent episodes of selected shows on-line.

Try a VPM. There are quite a few around. Some will work like on TVland, but Hulu usually detects them and says, check your internet settings.
