I usually get all of my recipes off a site called Lafango. I'm more of a visual learner, so I like how people post videos of cooking something and show us exactly how to make it. You should check it out...

Here's one of my favorite chefs:
http://lafango.com/chefjaice#/media/336389-binas-pad-thai

Hope this helps!
References :
http://Lafango.com

These days either the show or the channel it's broadcast on will have the recipes on their website, e.g. BBC has most, if not all, of the recipes shown in every cookery programme they broadcast, including series that have finished.
References :
Well, even if TV shows are done on a "set" and noe a kitchen in a home, they are still cooking the dish!

Go by what looks good to you, if the host on TV gives tips to help you know when you are on the right path or when the dish is done, how to pick the best ingredients, etc.

On the internet, you can find jillions of recipes just posted there, but beware. Pick ones from a reputable site where they test reipces, like Food Network.com or Betty Crocker .com, or even a food blog that has photos and how-to pics along the way.

As always, before making any new recipe, read the entire recipe thru, making sure you have ALL ingredients and utensils required, and that you understand abbreviations or directions.
References :
Those cooking shows on tv are cooked in the kitchens of course, you can jot down the recipe and observe how they mix/cook the ingredients. I always log on to the internet to search for recipes. Or try some recipe books, it worked for me.
References :
http://www.asianfoodchannel.com/recipes.php
