How can i watch a movie that is on my laptop on the TV?
is there like a special cord you have to use to connect your laptop to your TV? Are there only certain cords that are only compatible with certain laptops?
your only possible solution is a PC to TV converter box. You can try your own search to find your personal preference but I would be willing to bet that there is not a reasonably priced one in your area (if one is for sale in stores in your area at all). I will include a link to one at Fry’s Electronics if there is one near you as well as some internet sales links.

An hdmi to usb or dvi to usb would probably do the trick.

Yes there are 2 ways depending on which laptop u have.. U need to buy a s-video cable or a hdmi cable.. some of the older laptops do not have hdmi port so check before you buy..And also check if ur t.v supports HDMI.. HDMi has both audio and video whereas if you are gonna be using s-video u need to also buy audio cables to connect your laptop to t.v..
