just done it . i found out that S vid cables are useless , you need to have VGA cables for best results .with my acer laptop i go to my CONTROL PANEL click ADDITIONAL OPTIONS , this is where i get to NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL , i click this which brings three options i click DISPLAY . now i click on CHANGE DISPLAY CONFIGURATION then choose the configuration you require. i know you may not have NVIDIA software , but you should have an equivalent program on your laptop . i am no computer expert but this worked for me . hope this helps.
References :
You will need to configure your TV to the new input, your TV manual should explain how to do this and then you will need to redirect the laptops output to the TV out lead, this is usually done with a key combination of Fn+F4 but it may be different.
References :
Your TV out port on your laptop might not have drivers installed for it. Look in your Device Manager if you have a PC and see if the TV out device is there. Check the make in your documentation.
