How do I hook up my Toshiba laptop to my Toshiba TV with a VGA Cable?
I know where to put the cable in on the side of my laptop, but where on the TV? I can’t use an S-Cable because I don’t have that port on my laptop. Help please, thank you!
By the way, I want to hook it up so I can watch the movies I have on my laptop, on my TV.
Locate the VGA port on your laptop it’s the one with small circles and it look’s like a small irregular trapezoid. Connect the VGA cable to that port and take the other end and connect it to the tv’s vga port( unless of course your tv doesn’t have a vga port). After that press fn f5 to switch between the screens if it doesn’t do it automatically. If your TV doesn’t have the vga port get a new tv that has one and follow the steps I gave you.
Then you r stuck. Get a new tv with vga. But if you do that, there will be no audio available. Think about it. audio doesnt come through with vga.
Well they do have vga to rca but this cord is not good at all.

If your TV has component(that’s the high-def version of composite), then you can get a VGA to RCA cable.

Or you can try a VGA to TV(coaxial) converter (transcoder).
