		<description>There are now more than 1050 versions of that same question on Yahoo Answers.

You could start by searching for that question, to see if someone already answered it.. and they have.

Once you plug the two together, you put the TV on the SVideo input, and you open the display properties of the laptop.  You turn on the second monitor you see there by clicking on it and checking the box Extend my Desktop to this monitor...
OR
You use the tool for starting the TV connection that came with whatever model and make of laptop you have.. since there will most likely BE a specific tool for that particular video card.  

Don't forget about sound.  SVideo only transmits video.  Not sound.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
