How do you watch freeview tv on an all-in-one pc?

Filed under: watch pc tv — admin @ 9:47 am

I’m off to uni soon and the desk in halls is too small for both my tv and laptops. I heard that you can watch Freeview TV via your PC but i want to know how that would work and if it’s worth buying an all-in-one pc that can do this.
Any info at all would be fantastic, i’m one of those people who does loads on research before buying =]

yes you can buy a usb dongle that can receive the freeview transmission.

i have 1 of these work great, but the antenna is rather crap so you need to get a good aeriel but it depends, on how good the area is.

  3. If you want to stream live tv the main services are bbc by going to any bbc channels homepage and clicking watch live where you will also be able to change the channel from there to any other bbc channel or go to the itv site there is tabs with the channel names on about half way down the homepage or you can use the bbc iplayer and either stream or download content from the last 7 days also full series and series catch up you can also watch live bbc streaming from this too where ever it says watch live.

Other download or stream or watch live services include demand five from the five website also a new service run by the main 4 networks itv bbc channel 4 and five is called seesaw where they also have archives from the past decades its free and legal or you can use 4od for channel 4 shows.

There is a site that has freeview channels on but i have not used it yet though i have gone to it called tvcatchup which also works with iphone so maybe check that out or you have access to free sky channels on sky player that is without stuff on youtube and many other sites so hope that helps.
